Moscow Power Engineering Institute is one of the largest technical universities in Russia in the field of power engineering, electrical technology, electronics, computer science.

It has modern academic buildings, study and research laboratories, student residences, developed experimental facilities, pilot plant, experimental power plant, academic TV studio, developed pre-university training and further training system.

Institute has modern equipment, industrial, medium and personal computers (more than 1700 units).

It has been training engineers and researchers for foreign countries since 1946. Currently, MEI trains undergraduate and graduate students from 68 countries.
For achievements in training engineers and researches MEI has been awarded two orders of Russia and six foreign orders.
